PERRIN-WHITT HIGH SCHOOL – This team was young this past season and still went 33-5.  A lot of #STBA eyes will be on this squad as Graford moves up to 2A and out of their district.  

11/12/2024 - vs Eastland

Perrin-Whitt dominated from the start, using their high-pressure defense to force turnovers and create transition opportunities. Their offense clicked, with multiple players contributing to a balanced attack in the 72-34 blowout win. This commanding victory set the tone for their season opener.

11/15/2024 - @ Springtown

The team's cohesion and execution were evident in this decisive victory.  Clifton was left out of sorts as their assistant coach, Trevor Ernst, had to step up last minute to fill the role of Head Coach.  Perrin's zone gave the cubs some trouble.

3/1/2025 - vs Huckabay

#STBA was LIVE from Weatherford High School covering this highly anticipated game.  The game started off choppy, with Perrin-Whitt finding their rhythm at the Free Throw line where they shot 15 in the first quarter.  They were relentless in their efforts to attack the rim.  Perrin-Whitt clinched the Region III-1A Division I championship with a 57-44 win over Huckabay. Jack McCormick led the charge with 25 points, while Cole Keeney added 15, demonstrating their offensive prowess. This victory secured their spot in the state semifinals, underscoring their season-long excellence.  Once again Perrin-Whitt's zone has given some people problems.  They are quick, athletic, and long.  They stay in passing lanes and do a good job of keeping the ball out of the high post.  When it did get to the high post against Huckabay they forced contested jumpers.  If you would like to read more about this game - click here!

3/3/2025 - vs. Brookeland

Hard fought game between two really good teams tonight.  Brookeland takes the lead 12-11 at the end of the first quarter with a last second layup by Landon Smith.  Brookeland hangs onto the lead going into Halftime winning both of the first two quarters.  After the end of two quarters the score is 26-20.  With 2:25 minutes left in the third quarter Jack McCormick caught fire with a 9-0 run to take the lead.  At the end of the third quarter Perrin-Whitt is up 42-36.  The battle continues, but Brookeland could not overcome that offensive fire power that Perrin-Whitt possesses.  The final score from Athens High School in this State Semifinal Showdown is 66-57 with Perrin-Whitt moving on to San Antonio for a shot at winning their first state championship!
