#STBA was LIVE from Weatherford High School covering this highly anticipated game. The game started off choppy, with Perrin-Whitt finding their rhythm at the Free Throw line where they shot 15 in the first quarter. They were relentless in their efforts to attack the rim. Perrin-Whitt clinched the Region III-1A Division I championship with a 57-44 win over Huckabay. Jack McCormick led the charge with 25 points, while Cole Keeney added 15, demonstrating their offensive prowess. This victory secured their spot in the state semifinals, underscoring their season-long excellence. Once again Perrin-Whitt's zone has given some people problems. They are quick, athletic, and long. 3/3/2025 - vs. Brookeland
Hard fought game between two really good teams tonight. Brookeland takes the lead 12-11 at the end of the first quarter with a last second layup by Landon Smith. Brookeland hangs onto the lead going into Halftime winning both of the first two quarters. After the end of two quarters the score is 26-20. With 2:25 minutes left in the third quarter Jack McCormick caught fire with a 9-0 run to take the lead. At the end of the third quarter Perrin-Whitt is up 42-36. The battle continues, but Brookeland could not overcome that offensive fire power that Perrin-Whitt possesses. The final score from Athens High School in this State Semifinal Showdown is 66-57 with Perrin-Whitt moving on to San Antonio for a shot at winning their first state championship!
