ORANGEFIELD HIGH SCHOOL – Orangefield enters the season with plenty of excitement surrounding the program. The Bobcats have developed a reputation for playing fast, physical basketball and consistently competing at a high level. With a roster capable of scoring in bunches and applying defensive pressure, Orangefield looks poised to make another strong run this year. 11/18/2025 - @ Nederland, L 62-56
Orangefield opened the season with a tough road matchup against Nederland. The Bobcats battled throughout but came up just short in a close 62-56 contest. This was a great game for the Bobcats getting to play against a much bigger school.
11/21/2025 - vs. Little Cypress-Mauriceville, W 74-51
The Bobcats bounced back in a big way with a strong win over LCM. Orangefield’s offense found its rhythm early and controlled the pace of the game. N
11/24/2025 - @ Bridge City, W 67-51
Orangefield picked up a solid road victory over Bridge City. The Bobcats used defensive pressure and balanced scoring to pull away.
11/28/2025 - vs. Ouachita Parish, W 74-63
The Bobcats continued their strong play with a 74-63 win over Ouachita Parish. Consistent scoring helped Orangefield stay in control.
12/2/2025 - vs. Hardin-Jefferson, W 66-45
Orangefield delivered a strong performance on both ends of the floor. Their defense limited Hardin-Jefferson while the offense steadily built the lead.
12/4/2025 - vs. Blanco (Tournament), W 66-46
Tournament play began with a convincing win over Blanco. The Bobcats set the tone early and never looked back. A convincing win over a well coached Blanco team lead by Austin Karrer who played and worked at UTSA as a graduate assistant under Steven Henson, who is now at Baylor University.
12/5/2025 - vs. Austin Prep Academy (Tournament), L 89-72
Austin Prep Academy presented a tough challenge in tournament play. Despite strong scoring from Orangefield, Austin Prep’s offense proved difficult to slow down. Austin Prep was disappointing to watch, and Orangefield deserved to win this game. Austin Prep later got kicked out of this tournament, and the following tournament that they were scheduled to be in.
12/6/2025 - vs. Jim Ned (Tournament), W 72-56
The Bobcats responded with a strong win over Jim Ned. Improved defense and steady scoring helped Orangefield secure the victory. Jim Ned, who is a very talented small school team and they are always disciplined and well coached.
12/11/2025 - vs. Shepherd, W 87-43
Orangefield delivered one of its most dominant offensive performances of the season. The Bobcats pushed the tempo and pulled away early.
12/11/2025 - vs. Sabine Pass, W 76-41
Later that day, Orangefield continued its momentum with another convincing win. Strong defense helped limit Sabine Pass scoring opportunities.
12/12/2025 - vs. Nederland (Tournament), L 64-60
In a rematch with Nederland, the Bobcats fought hard in a tightly contested game. The Bulldogs managed to hold on late for the narrow win.
12/12/2025 - vs. Warren (Tournament), W 82-35
Orangefield bounced back with a dominant performance against Warren. The Bobcats’ defense overwhelmed their opponent.
12/13/2025 - vs. Sabine Pass (Tournament), W 81-47
The Bobcats wrapped up the tournament with another strong victory. Balanced scoring helped Orangefield cruise to the win.
12/16/2025 - vs. Jasper, W 78-34
Orangefield controlled the game from the opening tip. Their defense shut down Jasper while the offense continued to score efficiently.
12/19/2025 - @ Warren, W 79-55
The Bobcats picked up a solid road win against Warren. Orangefield’s consistency on both ends helped secure the victory.
12/29/2025 - vs. Chireno (Tournament), W 76-70
Orangefield opened tournament play with a competitive win over Chireno. The Bobcats made key plays late to hold off the challenge.
12/29/2025 - vs. Jasper (Tournament), W 81-54
Later that day, Orangefield handled Jasper once again. The Bobcats’ offense remained sharp throughout the game.
12/30/2025 - vs. Kirbyville (Tournament), W 74-31
Orangefield dominated Kirbyville with strong defense and fast-paced offense. The Bobcats built a large lead early.
12/30/2025 - vs. Pasadena (Tournament), W 70-67
The Bobcats closed the tournament with a thrilling three-point win over Pasadena. The game remained tight until the final moments.
1/6/2026 - vs. Kirbyville, W 100-29
Orangefield opened district play in dominant fashion. The Bobcats exploded offensively in a commanding win.
1/9/2026 - @ East Chambers, W 84-64
The Bobcats picked up another strong district victory on the road. Orangefield controlled the tempo and scoring.
1/13/2026 - vs. Buna, W 78-34
Orangefield continued its strong district run with a convincing win over Buna. The defense made scoring difficult all night.
1/16/2026 - @ Anahuac, W 79-50
The Bobcats secured another solid road victory. Balanced scoring helped Orangefield maintain control.
1/20/2026 - @ Hardin, W 74-39
Orangefield delivered another dominant performance in district play. The Bobcats’ defense set the tone early.
1/23/2026 - @ Kountze, W 78-44
The Bobcats continued their winning streak with a convincing road win over Kountze.
1/27/2026 - vs. Warren, W 84-37
Orangefield controlled the game from start to finish. Their defensive pressure created numerous scoring opportunities.
1/30/2026 - @ Kirbyville, W 69-30
The Bobcats completed the sweep of Kirbyville with another convincing victory.
2/3/2026 - vs. East Chambers, W 76-41
Orangefield remained strong in district play with a decisive win over East Chambers.
2/6/2026 - @ Buna, W 77-42
The Bobcats picked up another road win with a strong showing on both ends of the floor. They were in the lead for the majority of the game, and at the start of the fourth quarter they were up 59-31. Orangefield looked great in their offensive transition tonight.
2/10/2026 - vs. Anahuac, W 75-41
Orangefield continued its dominant district run with another convincing victory.
2/13/2026 - vs. Hardin, W 81-43
The Bobcats maintained their momentum with a strong performance against Hardin.
2/17/2026 - vs. Kountze, W 81-51
Orangefield closed out district play with another impressive win, finishing their run in dominant fashion.
2/24/2026 - vs. Diboll, W 70-49 (Playoff)
The Bobcats opened the playoffs with a strong victory over Diboll. Their defense controlled the game’s pace.
2/27/2026 - vs. Hitchcock, W 61-39 (Playoff)
Orangefield advanced with another convincing win. The Bobcats’ disciplined play helped them maintain control. Hitchcock graduated a lot from past seasons and are not who they used to be. They had a very successful season they just aren't as talented as they have been the past few years. Orangefield on the other hand this year looks very talented, and well coached.
3/3/2026 - vs. Mexia, W 68-56 (Playoff)
The Bobcats continued their postseason run with a solid win over Mexia. Orangefield’s balanced attack helped secure the victory and move on in the playoffs.
3/6/2026 - vs. Fairfield, W 74-68 (Playoff)
In a tightly contested matchup the Bobcats of Orangefield were able to pull it out and make it to the State Semifinals! They started the game absolutely on fire leading the Fairfield Eagles 13-2 in the first quarter. The Bobcats early in the game used their fundaments as weapons, seemingly on every catch they had a jab or a shot fake leading into a drive or wide open shot. They finished strong at the rim as well. At the end of the first quarter Orangefield was up 22-14, Fairfield was able to make a run to close the gap a little with some transition buckets. At halftime the Eagles closed the gap even further leaving the score at 39-33. The game sat at about a four point game for the rest of the way - very fun game!
3/10/2026 - vs. London (Playoff)
The Orangefield Bobcats and the London Pirates square off in the State Semifinal game with state championship hopes. The game is being played at Bay City High School, and we anticipate a packed house! At the end of the first quarter the London Pirates are ahead in a tight game 13-11. A back and forth contest has been a fun one to watch so far, and with about four minutues left to play in the first half the score is locked up at 17. The Bobcats push ahead towards the very end of the first half, but Christian Olivares hits a layup to end the first half 26-21. The London Pirates start off the second half hot and erase the lead, and with less than four minutes left in the quarter the Pirates cut the lead down to one. LATE in the third quarter Aiden Salinas splashes a three pointer and gets the foul called, Orangefield still up 42-38. Christian Olivares hits another three to cut the lead back down to six, but its looking good for our Orangefield Bobcats. Pirates trail 54-48 with about two and a half minutes left to play. Christian Olivares hits ANOTHER three to cut it back down to a three point game, forcing a timeout. There are only 19 seconds left, so the Pirates are forced to play the free throw game. With the game on the line, #1 junior Jack Luker forces a turnover for Orangefield to punch their ticket to the Alamodome and play for a state championship!
