The rivalry between Andrews and Seminole High School has a long a storied history. On this page you will find stats based on the last few years (2007-Present).
While a lopsided rivalry in the 2000s onward in Seminole’s favor, the “Drive of 385” has always been a very heated affair. The boys rivalry has been much more competitive than the girls rivalry, but the animosity between the two schools and student bodies have remained in both. Both teams will have near sellouts or full sellouts for games that have been District affairs for all but 2 seasons since 2008-2009.
Most notable matchups in recent history would be:
2023-2024 Girls: The Seminole Maidens defeat the Andrews Lady Mustangs 100-27 in Andrews marking the first time in history, boys or girls, a team has scored 100 in a game.
2021-2022 Boys: Andrews sweeps the district series against Seminole for the first time in 12 years and Wins their first District championship since 1996.
2019-2020 Boys: Seminole defeats Andrews in Andrews 47-40 to win a second consecutive district Title over the Mustangs who finish second behind Seminole for the 2nd year in a row.
2014-2015 Girls: Seminole Maidens defeats Andrews in Andrews 67-46 to clinch a share of their first district Title since 2008-09 and set the Maidens on route to their first ever Regional Final appearance in school history.
2011-2012 Boys: After losing by 28 In Seminole in the previous meeting in front of a Sold out crowd at Seminole the Andrews Mustangs push the State Ranked Indians to the brink at home in front of a sold out standing room only crowd at the new Andrews Mustangs Gym. Tied 68-68 in the fourth Quarter All-state Jarod Adams of Seminole hits a contested three ball with 17 seconds left to win the game 71-68 for the Indians and clinch their 4th straight undefeated District Championship.
2010-2011 Girls: Andrews Sweep the Maidens in the district series to finish above the Maidens in the district after losing the season series the previous two years. Capped off with a 43-39 win in Seminole over the Maidens.
